Update: Structures Severely Damaged in Tuolumne County Blaze

Update at 7:10 a.m.: A early morning fire that broke out in a shed and spread to home in the 23000 block of Red Clay Road near Big Hill Road has fire investigators trying to determine what sparked the blaze. Cal Fire reports a shed and house had major damage. The Red Cross has been called in to help relocate the family that included three adults, a 4-year-old child and two dogs that were displaced in the fire.

Original post at 5:50 a.m.: Columbia, CA — Firefighters are on the scene of a structure fire in the Columbia area that ignited just before 3 a.m. Cal Fire reports the flames broke out in a shed and spread to a home in the 23000 block of Red Clay Road near Big Hill Road. Crews have been able to knock down the flames. Three adults, a 4-year-old child and two dogs were displaced in the fire. The fire did not spread to vegetation. Crews remain on the scene mopping up and investigators are actively trying to determine what sparked the blaze.
