Mobile Home Destroyed By Fire In Columbia

Columbia, CA — Fire destroyed a residence in the Columbia Sky Mobile Home Park last night.

The fire ignited at around 9pm at 10956 Green Street. CAL Fire reports that one person was displaced as a result of the fire but no injuries were reported. The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office reports that the home was unoccupied when the fire ignited, and the resident returned to see the mobile home engulfed in flames. As a precaution, deputies evacuated two neighboring mobile homes.

Resources responded from Columbia Fire, Tuolumne County Fire, Sonora Fire and CAL Fire. Crews worked into the early morning hours to fully extinguish the blaze. What ignited the fire is currently unknown and an investigation will continue later this morning.
