Twist Fire Reaches 95-Percent Containment

Jamestown, CA — Officials continue to inch closer to full containment on the 124 acre Twist Fire that ignited Sunday in the Jamestown area.

The fire, situated off Twist Road, south of Algerine Road, is 95-percent contained. An investigation into the cause remains ongoing.

Meanwhile, the Detwiler Fire in Mariposa County is still 81,826 acres and 95-percent contained. The cause is also unknown. An estimated 1,635 firefighters are on scene.

The 690 acre Jacksonville Fire, which ignited on Saturday near Jamestown, is fully contained.
