Update at 5:05 p.m.: CAL Fire officials say a structure fire in Tuolumne City sparked Wednesday afternoon shortly into the 3 o’clock hour along 1st Avenue at the end of Grizzly Mine Road.
It was reportedly a trailer that was engulfed in the blaze, which extended partially into nearby vegetation. Resources began being released within about an hour and a half of the incident. The cause still being determined.
Update at 4 p.m.: Firefighters have knocked down a trailer fire in Tuolumne City located at the end of Grizzly Mine Road at 1st Avenue, CAL Fire officials say, adding that a containment line is being worked around nearby vegetation.
There is no word yet on estimated damage or cause.
Update at 3:46 p.m.: CAL Fire officials are now describing the location of a fire in Tuolumne City that sparked shortly into the 3 o’clock hour as along 1st Avenue at the end of Grizzly Mine Road.
According to CAL Fire spokesperson Lindy Shoff, units are working to extinguish a trailer fire with minimal extension into nearby vegetation. Investigators on scene are still determining the cause.
Original Post 3:35 p.m.: Tuolumne City, CA — Multiple units are responding to a reported structure fire in Tuolumne City, reportedly in a hard to access area off 1st Avenue near Carter Street. Few details are yet available. We will provide more information as it comes into the news center.
