No More Evacuation Warnings For Maria Fire

Mokelumne Hill, CA — The Maria Fire near Mokelumne Hill is holding at 71 acres and CAL Fire reports that all of the remaining evacuation warnings were lifted, effective seven o’clock this morning.

The fire is considered 45% contained, but the blaze has not recently been spreading. Crews will continue to strengthen lines and mop up the incident over the coming days. The cause of the blaze, which started at 12:29 am on Tuesday, is still under investigation.

200 firefighters are assigned to the incident, along with 14 engines, six dozers, six water tenders and four crews.
