Update: Fire Extinguished At Sonora High School In Culinary Classroom

Update at 1:45 p.m.: We now know the cause of a small fire that interrupted classes at Sonora High School. Sonora Fire Department Chief Aimee New updated Clarke Broadcasting, “The cause of the fire was items left on top of a stove in the culinary classroom. The items, when placed, accidentally turned on the burner and ignited the items. The fire was quickly knocked down with a fire extinguisher by staff on site and then Sonora City Fire Department personnel removed and extinguished the remainder of the items, and removed any remaining smoke from the building.”
