The Winter Weather Advisory issued for both the western slope of the northern Sierra Nevada and Yosemite National Park, will remain in effect until 10 PM tonight (Friday).
Two to ten inches of additional snow accumulation is forecast above the 5,500 foot elevation.
The snow levels remain between 4,500 to 5,500 feet.
The heaviest period of snowfall is expected this morning.
Winds will continue to gust as high as thirty mph. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
Plan on slick, slippery, difficult and hazardous travel conditions, snow covered roads, chain controls, and travel delays. Slow down and use caution while driving.
If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.
