Copperopolis, CA — Firefighters remain on the scene of an estimated 2-acre vegetation fire on the west side of Lake Tulloch in the Copperopolis area of Calaveras County.
The flames broke out around 11:40 a.m. in the 3100 block of Arrowhead Street near Flint Trail in the Copper Cove subdivision. Air and ground crews quickly contained the blaze within minutes of their arrival on scene. All incoming resources have been cancleled and aircraft have been called back to the Columbia airbase. Ground crews will remain on the scene mopping up for the next hour. What ignited the blaze is under investigation.
