Early Morning Vegetation Fire

La Grange, CA — Firefighters are on the scene of a nearly 20 acre grass fire in the La Grange area this morning.

The flames broke out around 2 a.m.along Lake Road near Highay 132 and J-59/La Grange Road in Stanislaus County. CAL Fire dispatch reports that the Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit assisted in battling the blaze. Crews were able to contain the flames in about 45 minutes at 18 acres. Crews continue to mop up this morning and check for hotspots. What sparked the fire is under investigation.
