Update: Structure Fire In Calaveras County Extinguished

Update at 2:45 p.m.: CAL Fire reports that when firefighters arrived on the scene they could see a ladder to the roof and the home owner was near the chimney.  The flames had erupted in the flue, according to the resident, who was able to put out the fire just before crews arrived. Crews remained on scene for about 15 minutes after checking to make sure that the flames did not breach the chimney into the home’s walls. There is no word as to whether there was any damage to the house.
