Update: Vegetation Fire In Sonora Contained

Update at 3:30 p.m.: CAL Fire reports the fire has been contained at a half an acre to one acre in size. No structures were threatened. CAL Fire spokesperson Lindy Shoff confirms that it was the result of an escaped debris burn.

Original post at 3 p.m.: Sonora, CA — Fire crews are battling a vegetation fire in Sonora.

CAL Fire reports the fire is half an acre to one acre in size and burning at a moderate rate of spread. It is burning in grass the 13600 block of Kincaid Flat Road near Lime Kiln Road. No structures are threatened at this time. CAL Fire reports the blaze may be the result of an escaped debris burn. We’ll bring you more details as soon as they come into the news center.
