Pedestrian Identified In Fatal Crash

Sonora, CA — The CHP has released the name of a 36-year-old Sonora woman that was killed after being struck by a car and then a truck on HWY 108.

The crash happened during the evening commute this past Friday at the West Stockton Road intersection, as reported here.  The CHP reports the woman, Tessie Nicole Odom, was pronounced dead at the scene. Odom was killed, relays CHP spokesperson officer Faustino Pulido, when she dashed out in front of an eastbound 2016 Chrysler 200 going about 50 mph and driven by 21-year-old Timothy Hollis of Sonora. Pulido adds that the force of the impact sent Odom flying into an oncoming 2018 Ford F-350, driven by 28-year-old Glenn Gray of Chinese Camp, also going around 50 mph. Traffic was impacted as that section of roadway was shut down for over two hours and travelers were detoured.

Officer Pulido relays that the CHP is awaiting an autopsy report to determine if alcohol or drugs could have played a role in the crash.
