Fire At Junction Shopping Center

Sonora, CA — CAL Fire is heading to a fire in the Junction Shopping Center in Sonora. There are reports of a possible electrical fire at the Bearly Quilting Store in the shopping center off of Tuolumne Road and Mono Way. Motorists in the area will want to drive with caution in the area or avoid the area.

Update 4:30p.m.: CAL Fire says crews are on the scene and report no flames in sight. They say fire fighters are checking the store inside and out for any possible flames or smoke coming from the building.  

Update 4’45p.m.: CAL Fire reports no signs of a fire, but they did find a hot electrical panel in the back of the store. An electrician was called to the scene.
