Burn Gets Out Of Control

Mountain Ranch, CA — While the traditional Fire Season typically does not arrive until around May, officials in Calaveras County got a sneak peak yesterday.

CAL Fire reports that an attended debris burn got out of hand at around 2:30pm in the 5000 block of Stagecoach Hill Road in Mountain Ranch. Approximately an acre was burned after wind picked up embers from the burn pile. No one was hurt, and no structures were damaged. Resources responded from Central Fire, San Andreas, Copperopolis and Vallecito. Crews remained on scene until around 5:30pm.
