Valley Springs, CA — Cal Fire is on the scene of a house fire in Calaveras County. Crews are battling the flames at a home on the 7600 block of South Burson Road in Jenny Lind. Cal Fire reports the two story wood frame home is fully engulfed. There are reports of some type of explosions being heard in the area.

Update 2:05 p.m.: Cal Fire reports the flames have spread to nearby vegetation. They say nearly two acres are on fire at a slow rate of spread. There are other homes in the area, but Cal Fire says they are not being threatened at this time. Also, there is no word on whether anyone was in the home at the time the flames broke out.
Update 2:45p.m.: Cal Fire reports they are looking into reports of explosions in the area of the fire, but at this time they cannot confirm those reports.
Update 3:15p.m.: Cal Fire reports the vegetation and house fire are contained. What sparked the house fire and reports of explosions in the area are still under investigation. No one was injured in the blazes.
