Murphys, CA — Fire Fighters and Aircraft are headed the scene of a vegetation fire in Calaveras County. Flames broke out in the 2000 block of San Domingo Road near Dogtown Road near Murphys. Cal Fire reports it is on the hill top, north of the Stevenot Vineyard property. There is no word on size or rate of spread at this time.

Update 4:45pm: Cal Fire reports the planes have been called off the scene.
Update 5:17pm: Cal Fire reports the fire is contained at one acre. They say no structures were threatened.
