Sonora, CA — Fire officials stayed busy battling a couple of late night fires in the Mother Lode.

CAL Fire reports that a 1999 Lincoln Navigator started on fire in the 24000 block of Bear Clover Court in Cedar Ridge. It caused $10,000 damage, and officials say the cause is still under investigation. It was reported to authorities at 9:59pm.

In addition, a large pine tree fell in Copperopolis across Black Creek Drive. It hit some power lines and sparked a ¼ acre vegetation fire. It was reported to officials at 11:16pm.
