Update: New Structure And Vegetation Fire

Update at Noon: CAL Fire relays that the forward rate of spread has been stopped at under an acre. Crews will remain on scene for the next couple of hours mopping up. What sparked the blaze is under investigation.

Original post at 11:45 p.m.: Glencoe, CA — Firefighters are battling a blaze in the Glencoe area of Calaveras County.

CAL Fire reports that when fire crews arrived at the scene in the 16300 block of Highway 26 a small outbuilding was fully engulfed and the fire had spread to about a tenth of an acre of grass. The fire is between Upper Dorray and 3 Cent Flat roads. The flames are moving at a slow rate of spread, according to CAL Fire. It is unclear whether any other structures are threatened at this time. We will bring you more details as soon as they come into the news room.
