La Grange, CA — CAL Fire reports that the 800 plus acre fire off J-59 near Paseo Seven Legends is under control.
CAL Fire spokesperson Lisa Williams says the fire started during the one o’clock hour yesterday afternoon and consumed 840 acres. One outbuilding was destroyed, as was a small olive orchard. Units from Tuolumne County Fire and the Stanislaus National Forest assisted the effort.
CAL Fire officials are still investigating the cause. It could take several days to determine. To view a map of the general area, click here.
