Update at 5:32pm: Crews will be mopping up after a wildfire that sparked in a river bottom off Highway 132 near Crabtree Road Monday afternoon.
According to CAL Fire officials, the blaze was contained at three acres. The cause remains under investigation. Among the responding units were Columbia Air resources, some of which remained assigned until about 4:30 p.m.
Update at 3:54pm: The Columbia Air-attack and copter are still among the resources working to extinguish a now three-acre vegetation fire off Highway 132 near Crabtree Road west of La Grange.
Original Post at 3:24pm: Sonora, CA — All Columbia air and multiple ground resources are being dispatched to a reported vegetation fire in a neighboring county.
The location is west of La Grange in Stanislaus County off Highway 132 in the vicinity of Crabtree Road. The call came just before 3 p.m. That area is between Modesto Reservoir and Turlock Lake. According to CAL Fire the blaze is within a small river bottom with no structure threat.
