Calaveras County, CA – CAL Fire reports lightning sparks 7 blazes.
The largest fire is the Salt blaze at Salt Spring Valley Road and Hunt Road near Copperopolis. CAL Fire reports it is 84 acres and 100 percent contained. CAL Fire reports crews will work through the night mopping up and checking for hot spots.
Also, they say they will be watching for lightning in the area overnight as the National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag warning for the Stanislaus National Forest and the Mother Lode until Thursday around 11am.
