Fire has destroyed much of the historic Columbia House Restaurant.
The fire was called into dispatch last night at 6:24pm, and it was contained shortly after 10 o’clock. Firefighters report that it was contained to a single structure, so the adjacent Angelo’s Hall was saved from extensive damage. There is still no word yet from investigators as to what caused the fire.
It was announced by the State Parks system earlier this month that the concessionaire contract had just changed hands for the Columbia House. We will pass along more information on this breaking news story when it becomes available.
The restaurant is located at 22738 Main Street in Columbia State Historic Park.
