San Andreas, CA– This Friday, July 1st all burning permits within State Responsibility Areas of Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties will be suspended at 8:00 am.
“And that’s because the conditions have gotten so dry outdoors that we want to limit the possibility of wildfires started by debris burn escapes,” said CAL Fire Prevention Specialist Nancy Longmore. “We will be monitoring the weather conditions. And when we start getting soaking rains in the fall, we will lift the restrictions.”
Cal Fire says burn restrictions are typically lifted in October or November.
