Local Fire Resources Sent South

San Diego, CA — Resources from across the state are in San Diego County battling a 12,500 acre fire on the Los Coyotes Indian Reservation.

Assisting the effort are eight air tankers, 22 helicopters and over 1,800 firefighters. CAL Fire spokesperson Lisa Williams says nine firefighters have been sent from the Tuolumne-Calaveras division.

The fire is approximately 45 percent contained. There is no estimate on full containment.
