Tuttletown, CA– The cause of a 12-acre fire on Highway 49 near Rawhide Road remains under investigation.
CAL Fire reports that the vegetation fire on the 9000 block of Highway 49 in Tuttletown, began at 12:40 yesterday afternoon and spread to nearby structures.
A two-story home, two barns, four outbuildings and one vehicle were all destroyed. The total amount of damage is estimated to be $720,000 for property, contents and vegetation.
Two residents of the home were also taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
