Update at 11am: Firefighters have successfully contained a 40 acre fire in the area of Highway 4 and Milton Road. No structures have been damaged by the “Milton Fire,” according to CAL Fire, and some of the air resources are starting to be released. What ignited the fire is unknown. Firefighters will be mopping up the incident throughout the afternoon.
Original story posted at 10:40am: Copperopolis, CA — Air and ground resources are arriving on the scene of a vegetation fire reported in the area of Highway 4 near Milton Road.
It is situated between Copperopolis and Farmington. Initial reports are that the fire is between 10-20 acres. Be prepared for activity in that area.
