Parrotts Ferry Fire Under Investigation

Columbia, CA – Fire officials have not determined the cause of a fire that started Tuesday afternoon in the 22000 block of Parrotts Ferry Road.


CAL Fire reports that it started at around 4:08pm and burned an acre of grass and oak woodland behind a home. The CHP was briefly called in to assist with traffic control on Parrotts Ferry Road.


The fire was contained at around 5pm, and officials remained on scene until 10pm for mop up.
