Fire Destroys Cold Springs Cabin

Cold Springs, CA — Fire destroyed a cabin in Cold Springs this morning.


The fire in the 29000 block of Shasta Drive was first reported at 4:47am and fully extinguished shortly after 9am. The structure was unoccupied when the fire started, and the cause is still under investigation. Officials estimate that the fire did $200,000 damage to the structure and $50,000 damage to the contents.


The Tuolumne County Fire Department dispatched resources from Pinecrest, Mi Wuk, Sonora, Long Barn, Mono Vista and Jamestown. CAL Fire Units responded from Groveland and Twain Harte.
