Update: Vegetation Fire Near Wrinkle Cove At New Hogan Lake

Update at 8:17pm: The forward progress of the Cove Fire has been stopped at two acres.

Original story posted at 8:10pm: Valley Springs, CA — Firefighters are on the scene of a roughly two acre fire in Valley Springs.

It is burning in brush near the Wrinkle Cove area at New Hogan Lake. The fire is burning at a slow rate of spread. The incident command has determined that air tankers are not necessary, and it will be extinguished by the arriving ground resources. No structures are in danger. Be prepared for activity throughout the evening.
