Tuolumne, CA — There was a prescribed burn that took place in the Mt. Havalia area outside of Tuolumne last night.
CAL Fire reports that smoke was visible in that area, and four engines and five overhead were assigned to the incident. Crews took advantage of cooler temperatures during the evening hours. The burn was done to maintain a fuel break that protects the community of Tuolumne from wildfire.
We reported on the planned burn earlier this week to alert the community, click here to view the previous story.
