Update at 7:55 a.m.: CAL Fire reports that ground resources have knocked down a large debris pile fire that broke out this morning in Sonora. Crews were able to keep the flames from spreading nearby vegetation. They will remain at the scene in the 18500 block of Eagle Ridge Drive near Wards Ferry Road, off Tuolumne Road mopping up for the next couple of hours. It is unclear if this is related to a slash pile fire on Tuesday in the same area, as earlier reported here.
