San Andreas, CA — The State Historical Resources Commission is considering placing Mother Lode properties on the National Register of Historic Places.
According to the State Office of Historic Preservation the Tuolumne County Courthouse in Sonora is already on the National Register but is applying for a boundary increase. If approved, the courthouse square across the street would be added.
Also the William J. Paugh House in Jackson built in 1860 has been nominated for its Gothic Revival style.
The commission will meet at 9 a.m., February 2 in Placerville to consider the applications.
