Sierra-Tuolumne Kennel Club would like to invite our friends and neighbors to our annual dog show- Barktoberfest! This year we are hosting a 3-day show from October 10th-12th at the Motherlode Fairgrounds on Southgate Drive. Come see over 100 breeds of dogs strut their stuff in the Conformation ring. Each day there is a 4-6 month old puppy competition! All three days dogs of all breeds and mixed breeds will be competing in Performance Events – Rally, Obedience, Temperament Testing, Canine Good Citizen, and Trick Dog. On Saturday, we will have a special event during the lunch break – Pee Wee! Youngsters from ages 6-9 will get to show their dog and earn a prize! Be looking for the Barktoberfest photo-op setup!
On site we will have local food favorite Los Unicos with their delicious food to offer! Vendor Bob Bauer with Pet Play Products will have a fabulous booth set up for all of your dog needs! Bedding, toys, treats, leashes, shampoos…you need it, he probably has it! While there, put your ticket in a bag for a raffle that benefits your local dog club, Sierra-Tuolumne Kennel Club!
Show times run each day from 8 a.m. until the end of BEST IN SHOW at around 3:00! A day of family fun for only $10 for parking and NO entrance fee! The parking fee helps support your local dog club! Thank you! Per American Kennel Club rules and for everyone’s safety, baby strollers and dogs not competing are not allowed on the grounds. In addition, if you would like to pet a dog, be sure to ask the handler for permission and how best to approach the dog. The dogs are getting ready for competition, so safety first!
