No Injuries Reported After Two-Vehicle Collision On Jacksonville Road

Sponsored by:

Jamestown, CA– No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash on the afternoon of Friday, October 3rd, on Jacksonville Road north of Egan Road, according to details provided by the California Highway Patrol.

At about 4:15 p.m., 47-year-old Amy Munoz was driving a 1997 Ford Aerostar southbound on Jacksonville Road, north of Egan Road, at approximately 30 mph. At the same time, 22-year-old James Sampson-Mulready of Columbia was driving a 2017 Jeep Wrangler northbound at around 45 mph. CHP said Munoz allowed her vehicle to drift over the double yellow line, directly into the path of Sampson-Mulready’s Jeep. The front of the Aerostar struck the left side of the Wrangler, sending the van off the roadway. After impact, the Aerostar traveled through a fence and hit a utility pole before continuing on to strike a wooden post supporting an awning. The van then collided with a parked 2019 Harley-Davidson motorcycle beneath the awning.

The Jeep came to rest in the northbound lane of Jacksonville Road. No injuries were reported, and both drivers were wearing seatbelts. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to have been factors in the crash.
