Columbia Fire Destroys Four Structures
Columbia, CA — Fire destroyed four storage sheds and a trailer this afternoon on S. Gold St. in Columbia directly across the street from the main entrance to Columbia State Historic Park.
The initial alarm was sounded at 2:54pm. Crews from the Columbia Fire Protection District and C.D.F.-Tuolumne County Fire Department responded to the fire which created a tremendous amount of smoke visible in Sonora.
The four structures and the trailer were totally destroyed. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
Also assisting was the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department and the Highway Patrol for traffic control.
