Waldorf school rests in the Rawhide Valley, a rural community in the Sierra Nevada Foothills, near the towns of Sonora and Jamestown. The school celebrated its 30th year in 2020. We had 180 students in parent-tot nursery, kindergarten, and grades 1-8. Many of their faculty have graduated their own families from the school. They are committed to working out of anthroposophy and the indications of Rudolf Steiner, as well as working with consensus. Our programs include; Eurythmy, Puppetry, Gardening, Woodworking, Music and Spanish.
During covid they were able to use the one-room schoolhouse as a classroom. Using the building as the eighth-grade classroom for extra space large enough to accommodate 17 socially distanced students.
