E-Voting Machines Rejected After State Tests

Sacramento, CA — California election officials have rejected an electronic voting machine made by Diebold after tests revealed unacceptable levels of screen freezes and paper jams.
Three counties have already purchased the T-S-X voting machine, which was found to have a failure rate of ten percent.
Secretary of State Bruce McPherson says that risk was too high and he notified company officials about his decision in a letter sent Wednesday.
