Audubon presentation about the American Art of Bird Carving

Bird carving is a distinctly American, indigenous folk art, rooted in Native American decoy-making and refined by colonists for hunting. Chet Wilcox, a master carver, will talk about bird carving at the Wednesday, March 18, meeting of the Central Sierra Audubon Society (CSAS). Any interested members of the community are invited to attend the 7 pm presentation in person in the Tuolumne County Library Community Room at 48 Greenley Road in Sonora or view the presentation on Zoom. The Zoom log-in information ca be found on the CSAS website at www.centralsierraaudubon.org.
