Studio 4 Dance Theater Presents “The Student Showcase 2026” Inspired by the Magic of Musical Theater
Angels Camp, CA — Studio 4 Dance Theater is proud to present its highly anticipated Student Showcase 2026, a dynamic and inspiring performance highlighting the talent, creativity, and dedication of nearly 30 student dancers and choreographers.
This year’s showcase draws inspiration from the iconic stage production West Side Story, weaving its powerful themes throughout an engaging program that also features beloved selections from Annie, Wicked, and Cinderella. Audiences can expect a vibrant collection of contemporary, ballet, classic jazz, and hip hop pieces that celebrate the storytelling magic of musical theater.
A standout element of this year’s production is the inclusion of Cool and Rumble from West Side Story, both performed by Studio 4 dancers under the direction of Director Sarah Long. These pieces have been selected for performance at the prestigious Bear Valley Music Festival this summer, an exciting honor that underscores the exceptional talent within the program.
The showcase not only highlights instructor-led choreography, but also features original works created by student choreographers, offering dancers the opportunity to develop their artistic voice and leadership skills. Student-choreographed pieces include works by Gracie Strand, Abby Fuqua, Linda Hein, Hazel Zeman, and Addie Miller.
“This showcase is a reflection of our students’ commitment, creativity, and growth,” said Tammie Lee, Studio 4 Dance Theater Artistic Director. “To see their work come to life on stage, especially with opportunities like performing at Bear Valley Music Festival, is incredibly rewarding. We are so proud of each and every dancer.”
Performances will be held at the Bret Harte Theater on:
• Thursday, April 30 at 7:00 p.m.
• Friday, May 1 at 7:00 p.m.
• Saturday, May 2 at 2:00 p.m.
Tickets are available at the box office only: $10 for children 12 and under and $15 for adults. The box office opens one hour prior to each performance, with doors opening 30 minutes before showtime.
