Forest Service Names Calaveras District Ranger

Sonora, CA — The U.S. Forest Service has named a new Calaveras District Ranger of the Stanislaus National Forest.
Bill Lorenz is currently the Assistant National Fisheries Program Leader at the Forest Service´s National Headquarters in Washington D.C.
Lorenz formerly worked on the Chugach and Tongass National Forests in Alaska and in the Alaska Regional Office from 1979 to 2003.
He also worked as Acting District Ranger in Sitka, Alaska and filled a detail at the Pacific Northwest Research Station in Corvallis Oregon.
Lorenz and his family plan to move to California in January.
