Anita Lorraine Martinez, 71, of Tuolumne, California, born May 7, 1955 in Brawley, California, passed away May 7, 2026 at her residence in Tuolumne, California.
Anita was a kind, caring, giving and loving mother, aunt, uma, sister, daughter and friend. She loved to make people laugh and always had a dirty joke ready when least expected. Anita enjoyed making beaded jewelry that she sold every year at her tribe’s Acorn Festival and Indian Market. She loved going on long drives, finding treasures at the local thrift stores in town, traveling and was always happiest when her family was able to join her. She will be missed every day.
Services will be held Saturday, May 30th, 2026, 4PM at the Tuolumne Me Wuk Tribal Hall located at 1959 Mi Wu Street, Tuolumne, California. If you have any Elvis shirts please wear them to honor Anita.
