School District Hands Out Raises
Sponsored by:
Angels Camp, CA — Teachers at the Bret Harte Union High School District will find a little something extra in their stockings this year.
The district board OK´d a 10.5 percent raise and an increase in health benefits for the teaching staff Monday.
Superintendent Joseph Wilimek called it a win-win for everybody. Since becoming a basic-aide district two years ago, Wilimek said, staff hasn´t received raises.
The agreement is retroactive to July 2005 and will be seen in the first paycheck of the new year.
A similar agreement for other employee groups comes to the board on December 19.
