Mountain Ranch Couple Convicted Of Tax Fraud

Sponsored by:

Seattle, WA — A Mountain Ranch couple who made millions of dollars by coaching clients on wealth-building are facing time behind bars after pleading guilty to tax fraud charges.

Federal prosecutors say Lorenzo Lamantia could get up to ten years in prison after pleading guilty in a Seattle federal court to charges of conspiracy to defraud the Internal Revenue Service and tax evasion.

His common law wife, Kuldip Singh, is facing up to two years in prison after pleading guilty to charges of willfully failing to file income tax returns.

The Justice Department says Lamantia and Singh made more than $40 million by selling audio tapes, C-Ds and tickets to overseas seminars about wealth-building that taught illegal tax strategies.

The two are due to be sentenced in April.
