Thursday September 17th is Constitution Day. In celebration, every National Park is waiving the entrance fee. That include Yosemite National Park, Kings Canyon National Park, Sequoia National Park and more. The free entrance day applies to U.S. citizens and permanent residents only. Nonresidents must pay standard entrance fees. Other fees like camping still apply.
Bureau of Reclamation will also celebrate Constitution Day by waiving day‑use fees for U.S. citizens at its directly managed recreation areas at New Melones Lake, Lake Berryessa, and Stony Gorge Reservoir. All other fees—including overnight camping, boat launching, and concession‑managed area fees—will still apply. Non‑resident fees also remain in place.
Constitution Day commemorates the signing of the U.S. Constitution in 1787 and recognizes the nation’s founding principles of civic participation, democratic governance, and constitutional rights, serving as a nationwide reminder of the document’s enduring role in shaping American society.
