Two Early Morning House Fires

Firefighters in Calaveras County battling Two early morning house fires
First one was reported at 4:21 this morning on Eagle Drive in the Mountain Ranch area. Not much details known on this fire, but a fire dispatcher says the structure is believed to be a total loss. The fire was contained just before 6 a.m.
A second fire on Dogtown Road off Highway 49 in Angels Camp was called in less than 20 minutes later, at 4:48 this morning. Dispatchers say the home there was fully involved in flames when fire units first arrived.
One volunteer firefighter has been injured battling this fire, hurting his ribs in a fall.
No word yet on cause of either of these two fires. Fire crews will be at the scene of these fires most of the morning.
