Nesler Assault Victim Dies At Hospital

Tuolumne County Sheriffs investigators say 22 year-old William Nesler III is now wanted by Sonora area law enforcement in connection with the murder of a 45-year-old Sonora man. The victim died at a Modesto hospital from injuries sustained in a beating early Sunday morning. Nesler is suspected in the attack.

Sheriffs Department spokesman Sgt. Rodger Dittberner said Nesler had just been released from jail a hour before the attack took place. He had been serving a 30-day sentence for beating that same man. Authorities say Nesler fled the scene following the attack. The victim´s name has not been released.

William Nesler is the son of the Jamestown courtroom slayer Ellie Nesler, ….who in April 1993 shot a man accused of molesting children at a church camp, including William Nesler.

Ellie Nesler is currently serving time in prison on recent drug charges.
