State’s Food Stamp Sign-Ups Low

Even as the state´s unemployment rate edges up, California ranks last among states in signing people up for food stamps. That´s the word from a report released today by the California Hunger Action Coalition. They say food stamp enrollment increased nationally last year, but fell by nearly 4.5 percent in California.
