More than 100 people have been arrested in San Francisco today, as the week begins with more anti-war protests.

San Francisco police say 123 people had been arrested by midday. 70 were at the federal building, several others were in the Financial District, near the Transamerica Pyramid.

Police say the protests are mostly peaceful and more subdued than the protests last week, when more than 2,000 people were arrested on Thursday and Friday.

Most of today´s arrests are for people allegedly refusing to disperse. Police are stationed throughout the city.

Also today, students at San Francisco State are demonstrating.
