Government Building in San Andreas Rocked by Pipe Bomb
A large pipe bomb explosion rocked a government building in the Calaveras County seat last night. There were no injuries.
The bomb went off shortly after 9 p.m. and damaged part of the building that houses the jail, the courthouse and other offices.
Even though no one was hurt, the explosion did knock a janitor who was working in the building off his feet.
Investigators say a possible suspect was seen leaving the scene. The man was about 5´8″, 160 pounds, wearing a white tee shirt and dark pants. The man may be driving a newer model, shiny forest green pickup truck.
The building was cordoned off early this morning as investigators continued to comb the premises for additional explosives.
