Lightning Fires Keeping Firefighters Busy

Lightning strikes in the Mother Lode are keeping firefighters very busy.
The CDF in San Andreas says a fire on O’Byrnes Ferry Road near the Sierra Conservation Center was quickly contained this morning just before 4 a.m.
There was also a small fire contained quickly off Highway 49 at Shaws Flat Road around 6 a.m.
Firefighters are now looking for a fire that was reported south of Groveland, about three miles south of the Groveland CDF Station.
